A man who was arrested in connection to the fatal August 2015 drive-by shooting of a rival gang member has entered a guilty plea, according to a Facebook post from the Hamilton County District Attorney's Office.

The plea agreement was presented by Assistant District Attorney Crystle Carrion in Hamilton County Criminal Court on Friday and stated that Christopher Walton, now 24, would plead guilty to voluntary manslaughter.

Carrion said the victim's family, Walton and his attorney were in agreement on the plea.

Judge Don Poole accepted the agreement and sentenced Walton to 15 years in the department of corrections. Walton will receive credit for the time he has already served in jail.

The fatal shooting at 800 North Willow Street killed 20-year-old Frederick Jordan Clark, who was walking with a friend at the scene. Clark was found in the street with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

An investigation by detectives with the Chattanooga Police Department determined the shooting had appeared to be the end result of an ongoing feud between two rival gangs.
