One person died in a single-vehicle crash on Central Avenue late Saturday, according to a Chattanooga Police Department news release.
The driver, a 50-year-old man, died from his injuries sustained in the crash. The crash happened at about 11:13 p.m.
Police said the driver was traveling south on Central Avenue when his car left the roadway and struck a utility pole.
The driver was transported by Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
