The first birth of a Chattanooga baby in 2020 took place at Parkridge East Hospital on Wednesday, according to a news release from the hospital.
Harmony Marvae Goode was welcomed into the world at 2:30 a.m. on New Year's Day. She weighs 6 pounds, 6 ounces, and is 20 1/4 inches long.
Harmony and her mother, Jalonnie Mack, are currently resting at the hospital.
Both mother and father, Christopher Goode, of Chattanooga, are "ecstatic" about the birth. Big sister, Heaven Mack, "cannot wait" to meet her baby sister, according to the release.
