A woman involved in the Thursday night car chase on U.S. Highway 27 was arrested Friday on several drug charges, according to a news release from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
Courtney Faulkner, 19, was a passenger in the truck suspect Cody Seals was operating before it crashed. Faulkner is being charged with methamphetamine for resale, marijuana for resale and heroin for resale. Her bond is set at $150,000, the release states.
The chase ended in the shooting of a Tennessee Highway Patrol Officer Khalat Ghazi. Seals was also injured and remains in a local hospital. A second trooper, Rich Thomas, was also involved, but it is not clear who injured Seals.
An investigation is ongoing.
