Chattanooga police investigate early Sunday morning shooting

Chattanooga police are investigating a shooting that happened Sunday morning on North Beech Street, according to a news release.

Responding to a call at about 3:14 a.m., police learned that a 29-year-old man with a gunshot injury had been taken to a local hospital, the release states.

The victim had been shot as he was exiting his vehicle and had injuries that were not life-threatening, Chattanooga police said.

The investigation is ongoing, and Chattanooga police ask anyone with information regarding the incident to call the homicide tip line at 423-643-5100 or submit a tip through the CPD Mobile App. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
