UPDATE: A 31-year-old woman is now in custody after a non-fatal shooting of another woman on Arlington Avenue Thursday.
Chattanooga police have arrested Kuchava Moore. She is charged with attempted criminal homicide and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.
Moore is in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.
Original story: Chattanooga police are investigating after a 30-year-old woman was shot Thursday night.
Responding to call of a person shot around 5:44 p.m., police arrived in the 800 block of Arlington Avenue and found the victim lying the road with a gunshot wound, according to a news release.
She was taken to a local hospital; her injuries were not life-threatening.
Police say the woman was the intended target, according to their preliminary findings.
No information about the suspect, who fled the scene before police arrived, was provided.
The investigation is ongoing.
