UPDATE: A runaway teenage girl has been found unharmed Wednesday evening, according to a Chattanooga Police Department news release.

Claire Hussain is safe and back with her family.

The CPD expressed appreciation to the many community members who provided tips that helped locate Hussain.

Chattanooga police are searching for an endangered teen after they said she left Hamilton Place Mall with a male on Tuesday, Jan. 21, according to a news release. 

Thirteen-year-old Claire Hussain was last seen around 5:30 p.m. leaving the mall near the Barnes and Noble with a black male in a 2001-2007 blue/green Ford Taurus with a temporary tag. At that time, Claire was wearing blue jeans and a black sweatshirt with red and white inverted chevron design, the release states. 

Hussain is not from the area and doesn't know anyone, police said. 

A poster states she is 140 lbs, 5'1" and a white female with a tattoo on her left wrist. 

Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call police at 423-698-2525.
