Chattanooga police are investigating a homicide that happened on Tunnel Boulevard Saturday evening, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.
Just before 6 p.m., a Chattanooga Police Department Neighborhood Policing Officer was flagged down by a community member who reported a man shot in the 2000 block of Tunnel Blvd.
The officer found 21-year-old Davon Sherrer lying in a driveway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, the release states.
Emergency services later arrived at the scene and pronounced Sherrer as deceased.
The investigation is ongoing, and Chattanooga police ask anyone with information about it to call the homicide tip line at 423-643-5100 or submit a tip through the CPD mobile app. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
