Chattanooga double homicide suspect arrested in Knoxville

Multiple law enforcement agencies have located and arrested Gabriel Boykins, a suspect in connection with a double homicide investigation in Chattanooga, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.

Just before noon Thursday, 45-year-old Boykins was found at 400 Black Oak Drive in Knoxville, Tennessee, with the help of six law enforcement agencies, including the Chattanooga Police Department.

Arrest warrants were issued for Boykins after the human remains of a woman and child were found in the woods near 2300 Greenwood Road in Chattanooga.

The victims have been identified as 40-year-old Tamara Church and an 8-year-old child who were reported missing on May 19.

Boykins will remain in custody at the Knox County Jail until a later date and faces charges of two counts of criminal homicide and two counts of abuse of a corpse, according to Chattanooga police.
