TBI probes lands two in jail on separate indictments in Bledsoe County

A TBI investigation in Bledsoe County landed two men in jail this week on indictments issued in separate cases, according to statements from the state agency.

Adam Ferguson, 35, is charged with one count of rape of a child, one count of criminal attempt child rape, one count of especially aggravated exploitation of a minor and 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor stemming from a joint probe by the Bledsoe County Sheriff's Office and the TBI that started in April. The indictments were handed up Monday.

Ferguson is accused of the distribution of child pornography through electronic means, the TBI said. During the course of the investigation, agents identified Ferguson as the individual responsible for the pornography distribution, as well as other offenses, from February through April of this year.

Ferguson is being held on a $250,000 bond.

In the second case, Jonathan Elmer McKee, 39, is charged with one count of aggravated burglary, one count of aggravated arson and one count of vandalism over $10,000, according to the TBI.

Authorities launched an investigation Aug.14, 2019, into a suspected arson on Luminary Fire Tower Road in Bledsoe County. Through the investigation, detectives and officers developed information that identified McKee as the individual responsible for the fire, the TBI said.

McKee is being held a $25,000 bond.
