What Hamilton County health officials say you can do to prevent the spread of coronavirus

There's been increasing concern over the coronavirus (COVID-19), as it spreads to more countries and has created over 100 cases in the the United States, including two in Georgia. It's even caused a Chattanooga couple to be in quarantine for over a month.

But the risk for an outbreak in Tennessee remains low, and there are no confirmed cases in Hamilton County or the state, according to Hamilton County health officials.

As the Hamilton County Office of Emergency Management and the Hamilton County Health Department continue to closely monitor the situation, everyone can play an important role in protecting each other by practicing clean and healthy habits in Hamilton County.

First responders, medical personnel and telecommunicators have been briefed on the coronavirus and have protocols in place to respond to any potential impacts and protect the safety of Hamilton County residents.
