Parkridge Health is restricting visits in its Chattanooga area locations in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, according to a news release.

Visitors will be restricted from entering Parkridge Medical Center, Parkridge East Hospital, Parkridge West Hospital and all Parkridge Valley Hospital locations in an effort to protect patients and workers.

Exceptions will be made in the following circumstances with one visitor per patient:

* Spouse/partner/relative of patient being treated

* Spouse/partner of a maternity patient

* Hospice or palliative care patients

* Only behavioral health visits with a physician's order

Visitors will be screened at facility entrances and will be asked to delay visits if they are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms.

The visitation policies and screenings are also subject to change without notice, according to the release.

Parkridge joins other Chattanooga area health locations, including CHI Memorial, Erlanger and Life Care Centers of America, in implementing policies to try to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
