A man was killed in a shooting early Thursday morning, Chattanooga police confirmed.
The 911 call came in just after 12:30 a.m. to a home in the 800 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard. Police have identified the victim as 20-year-old Holman Tanner.
Police found Tanner lying on the floor of the home with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Tanner was a student at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, the university confirmed Thursday. He was a junior.
Police have not identified a suspect, but say the investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
