I am an adult that feeds off social interaction and being outside. I miss sitting on a patio eating dinner at a local restaurant with my husband or huddling around a bonfire with friends.

And I know I'm not alone. So with many Chattanooga area schools announcing Tuesday they will not be back in session until at least April 27, the Times Free Press has launched "TFP Families" as a free resource for families and children in the community to get through this time of social distancing.

TFP Families is a partnership between the Times Free Press and local cultural and educational institutions such as the Creative Discovery Museum and Hunter Museum of American Art to provide activities and videos for children and families at home during the coronavirus outbreak.

We encourage families to check back on the page regularly for updates throughout the week and to email me — Allison Collins, digital and engagement editor — at acollins@timesfreepress.com with any suggestions on content they would like to see.

Check out TFP Families here.
