30-year-old man shot Thursday evening in Chattanooga

A 30-year-old man was shot Thursday evening, according to a Chattanooga Police Department news release.

Officers were dispatched at about 6:12 p.m. to the 6800 block of Lee Highway on a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, police found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.

The man has not been identified.

Police were unable to determine an exact location where the incident occurred.
