A Dalton woman was arrested Wednesday night after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend in the leg.

Dalton police arrived at the Underwood Lodge at about 8 p.m. on a domestic incident call, according to a press release. When they arrived, officers found a man bleeding from his upper right thigh. Officers cut off the man's pants and applied a tourniquet to limit the bleeding.

The man's girlfriend, 40-year-old Sanna Noland, was in the room where the stabbing took place and hid in the bathroom before eventually surrendering to police without incident, authorities said.

Noland was arrested and is being charged with one count of aggravated assault and a probation violation.

The release states the man was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover from his injury.
