The City of Chattanooga will suspend public access to government buildings to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, according to a news release from Chattanooga government.

Starting Monday, City Hall, City Court, City Annex and the city services at the Development Resource Center will not be open to the public until further notice in an effort to reduce person-to-person contact.

Limited government operations will still take place, but staff will only be there on staggered schedules as the city continues to implement social distancing and telecommuting practices, the release states.

Meanwhile, Hamilton County Government will maintain its in-person services at the DRC.

Residents who need to use city services can do so online, by mail or over the phone. A list of services can be found at cha.city/cityclosures or you can call 311 for help at 423-643-6311 or visit http://www.chattanooga.gov/311.
