Two people were killed and two seriously injured in a fiery crash Thursday night in Walker County.

The Georgia State Patrol responded at 9:30 p.m. to a single-vehicle crash and found a 2012 Dodge Charter on fire. Deputies and troopers found a passenger pinned under the vehicle and the driver trapped inside.

The Georgia State Patrol said the Charger had been traveling north on Georgia Highway 193 south of Highway 341 in Walker County when the driver lost control while turning a curve and went off the road, striking a tree with the passenger side of the vehicle before ending up in a ditch.

The driver was trapped in the vehicle and a passenger who was sitting in the back right seat was ejected from the vehicle. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

A 15-year-old boy was taken to Erlanger and a 19-year-old man had to be airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

Officials had not released the identities of those involved in the crash as of Friday afternoon.

The crash is still under investigation and the full report is not complete.
