The Summerville (Georgia) Police Department is looking for a man in connection with an armed robbery that took place Monday night at the CVS pharmacy on Rome Boulevard.

The robber was wearing all black at the time of the crime, carrying a handgun and wearing a mask.

Police say the man entered CVS as it was closing and forced an employee to the pharmacy and office area, where he took cash from the registers and business office. Police say no medications were taken.

The man left the store through the pharmacy drive-thru window.

Police don't know what kind of vehicle the man was using or which direction he fled after leaving.

None of the employees were hurt.

Police didn't have a suspect as of Tuesday afternoon but suspected the robbery was linked to a string of serial robberies in the Northwest Georgia area.

Anyone with any information on the robbery is encouraged to contact the Summerville Police Department at 706-859-0912.
