Free coronavirus testing will be offered at Erlanger Health System's three community health centers starting Monday, May 18, according to a news release from Erlanger.

Premiere Community Health Center, Dodson Avenue Community Health Center and Southside Community Health Center will all offer free COVID-19 testing beginning Monday. The community health centers will continue to remain open for all other medical needs.

Additional federal grant funding provided to Erlanger has allowed for the expansion of testing services in the community, the release states.

"We thank our elected officials for recognizing the need for expanded testing services and to our partners, community agencies and faith based institutions, for their support in providing coordinated care," Community Health Centers CEO Angel Moore said in the release.

Appointments are required for testing. Hours at the centers are Monday - Thursday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. For more information, call 423-778-2880.

"Our goals are to eliminate barriers and increase access to testing and health services," Moore said. "We are providing on-site and telemedicine comprehensive care for adults and pediatrics. Additionally, we have services available such as behavioral health counseling as well as resource assistance with language and transportation, prescription coverage and community outreach workers available for one on one assistance."
