A fire completely destroyed the home of a Walker County, Georgia, family of six Monday morning.

Joe Legge, spokesman with Walker County government, said in a news release firefighters responded to the home at 32 Henry Hawkins Drive in Center Post at about 8 a.m. Monday.

Five adults and one child were inside the home when the fire started. All six got out safely, and there were no reported injuries.

Investigators with Walker County Fire Rescue ruled the cause of the blaze accidental.

The home, which had working smoke alarms, is considered a total loss. The Red Cross is helping the family following the fire.

The fire in Center Post was the second fire that took place in the county in a matter of 12 hours. Officials are investigating another fire that happened about a mile away in the 400 block of Napier Chapel Road Sunday night that destroyed a small church.
