A 24-year-old man was injured in an early morning shooting on Sunday, Oct. 25, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.
Officers responded to a report of a person shot around 7:09 a.m. and located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound at the 1100 block of Pierce Avenue.
The person was taken to a local hospital and was said to have a non-life-threatening injury.
The investigation is ongoing, and Chattanooga police ask anyone with information about it to call the homicide tip line at 423-643-5100 or submit a tip through the police department's mobile app. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
