One person has died after a single-vehicle crash on Brainerd Road Sunday, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.
The driver of a Kia Sorrento was traveling east on Brainerd Road when the car lost control and crossed into the opposite lanes, left the roadway, and struck a utility pole.
The car then went into a roll before coming to a stop on the driver's side, and emergency services pronounced the 46-year-old driver dead at the scene, the release states.
The investigation is ongoing, and Chattanooga police ask anyone with information regarding the incident to call 423-698-2525 or submit a tip through the CPD Mobile App. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
