A body recovered near Moccasin Bend on Nickajack Lake on Wednesday has been identified as a missing Sequatchie County man, according to a news release from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
Adam Jones, 42, was reported missing by his family earlier in the week after he didn't return from a fishing trip. Jones had dropped a friend off to look for artifacts along the bank of the lake, but didn't return to retrieve the friend, who later called for assistance.
A boat was found adrift near Baylor School on Tuesday, and the vessel owner retrieved it. There was no link between Jones' disappearance the the boat at the time.
The incident is currently under investigation.
