One person is dead after a motorcycle and a car collided on Grubb Road Sunday evening, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department. 

The driver of a Honda motorcycle was traveling north on the 6400 block of Grubb Road, when he lost control of the vehicle, traveled across the roadway and struck an oncoming car in the southbound lane. 

The 35-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to police. 

Emergency services transported a second passenger on the motorcycle to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries. None of the occupants in the car reported injuries, the news release states.  

The investigation is ongoing, and Chattanooga police ask anyone with information regarding the incident to call 423-698-2525 or submit a tip through the CPD Mobile App. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
