ORIGINAL STORY: The Dalton Police Department is searching for 17-year-old Hannah Cox, who was reported missing to the police as a runaway juvenile on Sept. 27, according to a news release. Investigators believe that the teen is attempting to travel to Kingsport, Tennessee.
Home surveillance footage showed Cox leaving her residence on Sept. 27 with a white male and a white female, helping her take totes of belongings before leaving in a Nissan.
Members of Cox's family told police that they did not recognize the two people that she left with, the news release stated on Sept. 30.
But as of Oct. 1, officials now say that the two individuals have since come forward to investigators and are not suspected of any criminal wrongdoing.
