The Bonny Oaks and Red Bank driver services centers are closed temporarily because of a personnel shortage due to health reasons, according to Wes Moster, communications director for the Tennessee Department of Safety & Homeland Security.

He cited health privacy concerns for workers in declining to comment any further.

The Bonny Oaks center is tentatively scheduled to reopen on Aug. 16, and the Red Bank center is scheduled to reopen Aug. 17.

Moster said customers may visit any Tennessee driver services center or participating county clerk partner to take care of their driver's licensing needs.

The Chattanooga/Hamilton County Clerk offers duplicates and renewals of noncommercial licenses. For full services, the closest Driver Services Center to Chattanooga is in Cleveland, at 301 James Asbury Drive NW.
