It's a girl: Parkridge East Hospital welcomes its first birth of the new year

Parkridge East Hospital announced Friday afternoon its first baby born in the new year.

Parkridge's The Birth Place welcomed Lorelei Grace Blevins at 1:26 a.m. Friday. She weighs 7 pounds and 2 ounces, and measured 19 inches long.

Lorelei was resting at Parkridge East with her parents Mary Louise Bryan and Colby Blevins, of Lafayette, Georgia.

"The family – along with the Parkridge physicians, nurses and support staff – are thrilled to welcome their daughter this morning," reads a news release sent by the hospital on Friday afternoon. "Parkridge Health extends its congratulations to the family on their new arrival."
