A man has been arrested after shots were fired into a Hixson home early Tuesday morning, according to a news release from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to a home on the 7900 block of Boston Lane on Jan. 4, after a report of a domestic assault. The suspect, who left the scene, was later identified as Timothy Bowman Jr. and charged with domestic assault. A warrant was also issued for Bowman's arrest, according to sheriff's deputies.

On the early morning of Jan. 5, a report of shots fired into the same home led detectives to identify the shooter as Bowman, the same suspect involved in the domestic disorder the day before.

Bowman was later arrested with detectives "pursuing additional charges related to this morning's shooting," the news release states.
