Special agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and East Ridge police officers are searching for a man suspected of robbing a Regions Bank on Wednesday, according to a news release from the East Ridge Police Department.

The man entered the bank at 4334 Ringgold Road at around 3 p.m. and approached the teller counter. He then jumped the counter, began searching through teller drawers and fired one shot. No one was injured.

The suspect fled the bank on foot and went into a nearby neighborhood. 

He has a thin build and stands about six feet tall. He was seen wearing blue jeans, black shoes, a gray toboggan and a black face mask at the time of the robbery.
