Several Chattanooga area roads closed Thursday afternoon due to flooding, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Department of Transportation. Several roads reopened later Thursday evening.

The National Weather Service in Morristown has also issued a flash flood warning.

Harrison Pike between Forest Road and Benton Drive has reopened after being closed due to downed trees, power lines and a mudslide. Norfolk Southern Railroad is inspecting their right-of-way above the slope failure out of an abundance of caution, according to the release.
