UPDATE: Hixson Pike now open after fuel spill

UPDATE: Hixson Pike is now open after a fuel spill caused the road to shut down Wednesday morning, according to the Chattanooga Police Department.

Several agencies are on the scene where a fuel spill has shut down part of Hixson Pike.

It happened on the block between Ashland Terrace and Access Road around 2:30 A.M. Wednesday.

The Chattanooga Fire Department estimates around 70 gallons of fuel are on the ground.
