A man is dead after a motorcycle and a car collided on Hixson Pike Sunday night, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.
The driver of a Chevy Tahoe was traveling south on the 3900 block of Hixson Pike and was turning left into a parking lot when the car struck a motorcycle traveling north.
The 21-year-old motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital by emergency services and later died, the news release states. The driver of the Chevy Tahoe did not report any injuries, and police have not released the names of the drivers involved in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing, and Chattanooga police ask anyone with information to call 423-698-2525 or submit a tip through the CPD Mobile App. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
