A 29-year-old man died in a crash on Interstate 75 on Sunday morning, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.

Chattanooga police arrived near the I-75/I-25 interchange around 3:17 a.m. and determined that the driver of a Toyota Tacoma was traveling north when the vehicle lost control, struck the center concrete barrier, and came to a stop blocking the shoulder and travel lane.

A tractor-trailer traveling north in the travel lane later struck the Toyota Tacoma blocking the lane, the release states.

The man driving the Toyota Tacoma was pronounced dead at the scene by Hamilton County emergency officials.
