Hamilton County will expand COVID-19 vaccine eligibility to the next two phases starting Monday, March 22.

People in phase 2a and 2b will be eligible for doses. These phases include workers in commercial agriculture and food production, social services, corrections, public transit, telecommunications, utilities and public infrastructure.

Other phases remain eligible for doses at Hamilton County's three vaccination sites. On Thursday, the county expanded eligibility to people ages 55 and older. Less than two weeks ago, the county opened phase 1c, which includes people with chronic health conditions and was estimated to have the largest population of any of the phases under Tennessee's vaccination plan.

People in the eligible phases can visit vaccine.hamiltontn.gov to make their appointment online, and the website vaccinefinder.org lists other locations in the area that are approved to administer vaccines.

Those who do not have access to the internet can call the health department to make an appointment over the phone:

> First dose appointments: 423-209-5398.

> Second dose appointments: 423-209-5399.

> Spanish appointment line: 423-209-5384.

All three call center lines are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to the Hamilton County Health Department.
