Woman dies of injuries from October crash on Hixson Pike in Chattanooga

A woman has died of injuries from an October car crash, according to a news release.

Chattanooga Police Department officers responded to the crash near the 4000 block of Hixson Pike at 4:44 p.m. on Oct. 21.

According to the release, the driver of a Nissan Altima was traveling south on Hixson Pike when she attempted to turn left in front of a Ford Focus traveling north.

After the crash, the driver of the Nissan and her two passengers were transported to a local hospital where one, a 41-year-old woman, later died.

The release did not identify the woman or say when she died, nor did it say what happened to other vehicle occupants.
