The Chattanooga Zoo is offering free admission to health care workers daily from Nov. 29 to Dec. 5.

Guests who present their medical professional ID badges and identification cards (along with a photo ID) will receive admission for the day along with the ability to buy three additional tickets at half price. The discount is only valid in-person.

Health care workers who typically participate in the program include physicians, physician assistants, registered nurses, nurse assistants, nurse practitioners, therapists, dieticians, dentists, pharmacists, psychologists, pathologists, lab technicians, social workers and midwives.

"We certainly have a lot to be grateful for this year, with health care personnel near the top of the list," said Dardenelle Long, president and CEO of the zoo. "In so many ways, they have held us up; now it's our turn to show them how much we appreciate them."
