Actor/comedian/Chattanooga native Leslie Jordan will sign copies of his new book, "How Y'all Doing?" from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at The Book & Cover, which recently opened at 1310 Hanover St. in North Chattanooga.

Jordan spent most of his early life in Chattanooga before moving to Los Angeles, where he has become a popular actor, author and sometimes touring comedian. His popularity grew during the pandemic thanks to hilarious short commentaries he uploaded to social media.

"How Y'all Doing" is a follow-up to "My Trip Down the Pink Carpet," Jordan's 2008 autobiography. In both, he tells of life growing up gay and Southern Baptist in the South and his dream of having a career in Hollywood.

He is perhaps best known for his roles as Lonnie Garr in "Hearts Afire" (1993–1995), Beverly Leslie in "Will & Grace" (2001–2006, 2017–2020), and for playing several characters in the American Horror Story franchise (2011–present), Sid in "The Cool Kids" (2018–2019) and Phil in "Call Me Kat" (2021).
