Two men dead after single-vehicle crash in Cleveland, Tennessee

Authorities in Cleveland, Tennessee, are investigating a Sunday morning fatal collision that led to the death of two men, according to a news release. Cleveland police identified the deceased driver as 49-year-old David Jenkins, and the deceased passenger as 49-year-old Christopher Jacobi.

Shortly before 2:30 a.m., a Cleveland police supervisor located a single-vehicle crash involving a silver Ford F150 at the 600 block of North Ocoee Street. Emergency personnel determined both the driver and passenger in the vehicle died at the scene, the release stated.

Investigators learned the F150 was traveling on North Ocoee when the truck left the roadway on the right side and struck a large tree, Cleveland police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
