A male student at Central High School was arrested on campus Friday afternoon, according to a news release from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
During the arrest, the school resource officer recovered a loaded Glock handgun with a high-capacity magazine from the student.
The student has been charged with domestic assault and possession of a firearm on school property, the release states.
