Chattanooga police arrest 3 suspects in connection with 2 separate homicides

Chattanooga police announced Monday that they have arrested three suspects in connection with two separate homicides, according to news releases from the Chattanooga Police Department.

Homicide investigators arrested Deangelo Ballard, 38, in connection to the Aug. 3 homicide of Edward Melton that happened in the 700 block of West Main Street. Ballard is charged with first-degree murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, unlawful possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.

Devonte White, 28, and Dominique Brown, 29, were arrested in connection to the May 8, 2020, homicide of Frank Johnson that occurred in the 4000 block of Teakwood Drive. Both White and Brown were charged with first-degree murder and felony reckless endangerment.

All three suspects are in custody at the Silverdale Detention Facility.
