Missing Chattanooga woman Gladys Pineda-Loher has been found, police say

UPDATE: According to a post on social media by the Chattanooga Police Department, Gladys Pineda-Loher was found safe Thursday morning, and the family has been notified. The department offered no further information. Check back at the Times Free Press to learn more about this developing story.

The Chattanooga Police Department is asking for information about Gladys Pineda-Loher, 52, who has been reported missing.

According to the person who reported Pineda-Loher missing, she was last seen Monday morning driving a white 2006 Chrysler 300.

"She dropped our son off at school Monday morning and was supposed to pick him up to take him to soccer practice after school but never made it," Terry Loher wrote in a post on his Facebook page. "Gladys if you see this post I want you to know that many people love you and are praying for your safe return."

The family has been in the news before.

In 2009, Terry Loher was shot by ex-wife Tina Loher at his Signal Mountain chiropractic clinic while the two were in a custody battle over their child. At the time of the shooting, he was married to Pineda-Loher, with whom he now shares a child.

Terry Loher had accused Tina Loher of denying him phone contact and visitation time, according to a petition filed in circuit court. They were scheduled to appear in a Knox County court regarding custody issues over their two daughters several days later.

Pineda-Loher's then-8-year-old son from a previous marriage lived with her and Terry Loher at the time of the shooting when she was also in the middle of a custody battle with the boy's father, Jim Williams.

Terry Loher did not respond to a Facebook message seeking comment.

Pineda-Loher has brown hair, brown eyes, is 5-foot-1-inch tall and weighs 140 pounds.
