WSKZ-FM 106.5 / Longtime radio personality Kelly McCoy died March 22 at a local hospital. She will be remembered during a celebration of life April 16 at Covey Creek Farm.

Longtime radio personality Kelly McCoy will be remembered during a celebration of life beginning at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at Covey Creek Farm, 2855 Cloud Springs Road in Rossville, Georgia. McCoy died Tuesday, March 22, after a brief illness. She was 58.

McCoy was on the air at WSKZ-FM 106.5 for more than three decades. She started her career in radio at WZRA. She later moved to WGOW-AM 1150 and then to classic rock station WFXS. She then moved to KZ-106, where she became the area's #1 midday radio host for two decades.

WSKZ-106 Operations Manager and afternoon host Scott Chase will emcee the event on April 16. Friends and family will be asked to share memories and stories of McCoy. The band No Big Deal will perform, and food will be provided by Acropolis Grill. The Humane Educational Society will have pets for adoption as it continues Kelly's Pet Project.
