A construction worker was struck by a vehicle that entered a closed lane on Interstate 75 early Friday morning, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.
A 41-year-old man was driving on the interstate when his vehicle entered closed lanes and hit the worker, a 24-year-old man. Lanes in both directions of I-75 in Hamilton County are closed due to ongoing road projects.
After hitting the worker, the driver lost control and left the roadway.
