Authorities are investigating a Thursday morning crash involving a patrol car, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.

Shortly after 7:30 a.m., officers responded to the 3700 block of Amnicola Highway after a report of a traffic crash. When police arrived at the scene, they determined that a patrol car collided with a minivan at the intersection of Lost Mound Drive and Amnicola as the van attempted to turn onto Amnicola Highway, the release stated.

Emergency services transported both drivers involved to local hospitals with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The investigation is ongoing.
