New hotline allows Tennessee drivers to report potholes, road maintenance issues

The Tennessee Department of Transportation has launched a new hotline for drivers to report potholes and other road maintenance issues that may be considered safety hazards.

Drivers can now make reports by calling a virtual call center at 833-836-8349, which spells 833-TDOTFIX, from 6 a.m.- 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Callers on holidays, weekends or after hours can leave a message or call back during business hours, according to a TDOT news release.

Callers will be asked a series of questions by an agent, who will then submit the information through TDOT's online maintenance work request form.

Drivers can still alert TDOT to road maintenance issues using this online form at tn.gov/tdot/maintenance/maintenance-request.html.
