Upcoming road closures, construction and detours in the Chattanooga area

AUGUST 9-31

- Interstate 75 in both directions 

Lane closures for construction projects from mile marker 7, near the Bonny Oaks Drive exit, to mile marker 10, between the Volkswagen Drive and Ooltewah exits

AUGUST 9 - DECEMBER 25

- Georgia Ave between 7th St and Walnut St

One southbound lane closed for construction.

AUGUST 11-13

- Reggie White Blvd between the Chattanooga Skate Park north entrance and W 20th Street

Closed from 3-11:30 p.m. for the Best of Preps Football Jamboree.

- Chestnut Street between W 17th Street and W 19th Street

Closed from 3-11:30 p.m. for the Best of Preps Football Jamboree.

- W 19th Street between Reggie White Blvd and Chestnut Street

Closed from 3-11:30 p.m. for the Best of Preps Football Jamboree.

- Street parking on Chestnut Street

Prohibited from 3-11:30 p.m. Vehicles left within the closure will be towed at the owner's expense.

AUGUST 12

- Cherry Street at E MLK Blvd

Closed from 3 p.m.- midnight for Nightfall setup.

- Market Street from East 8th Street to East 10th Street

Closed from 5:30 p.m.- midnight for Nightfall.

- ML King Blvd from Broad Street to Georgia Avenue

Closed from 5:30 p.m.- midnight for Nightfall.

AUGUST 13

- Riverfront Parkway between Power Alley and Chestnut Street

Closed from 6-10 p.m. for Riverfront Nights. All vehicles over two axles, including tractor-trailers, must use Aquarium Way or W Martin Luther King Blvd as a detour.

AUGUST 14

- Reggie White Blvd in front of the First Horizon Pavilion 

Closed until 6 p.m. for the Chattanooga Market.

AUGUST 15

- 1200 block of Latta St

Closed for crane work. Detours will be posted.

AUGUST 15-16

- 5304 Delashmitt Rd

Closed for sewer work. Detours will be posted.

AUGUST 15-19

- 1715 Union Ave

Closed for sewer work. Detours will be posted.
