The 2022 Moon River Festival at Coolidge Park will take place Sept. 10-11, according to organizers of the event.
The lineup for the two-day festival, which features about two dozen Americana singer/songwriters, will be announced sometime in April.
Founded in 2014 in Memphis by Drew Holcomb, it outgrew its home there and moved to Chattanooga in 2018, where it sold out for two consecutive years. The 2020 festival was canceled due to COVID-19 but returned in 2021 with another sold-out event featuring Old Crow Medicine Show, Wilco, Lord Huron and Drew Holcomb & the Neighbors.
Holcomb turned over operation of the festival when it was moved to Chattanooga to Knoxville-based AC Entertainment. AC is now owned by Live Nation, one of the largest entertainment companies in the country.
