Hamilton County Schools announced three new principal assignments Thursday, to take effect immediately.

Gerald L. Harris will be the principal of Construction Career Center when it opens this fall as a Future Ready Center. Harris has been principal of Tyner Academy since 2018 but will spend the rest of the school year recruiting students and staff and making other preparations for the new school.

Tiffany N. Earvin will be the new principal at Tyner Academy. She was previously principal of Orchard Knob Middle School. Earvin is a Howard High School graduate and 20-year veteran educator, the district said.

Amara L. Alexander will replace Earvin as the new principal at Orchard Knob Middle School. Since 2020, she has been an assistant principal at Woodmore Elementary.
