- Ochs Highway Extension/Red Riding Hood Trail between Fleetwood Drive and Ochs Highway

Ochs Highway closed to traffic with more than 2 axles. Detours will be posted.

MAY 17-AUGUST 5

- University St between MLK and 8th St

Closed for construction work. Detour will be posted.

MAY 17-21

- Reggie White Blvd between the Chattanooga Skate Park north entrance and W 20th Street

Closed from 1 p.m.- 11:30 p.m. daily for Hamilton County graduation ceremonies. Street parking will be prohibited on Chestnut Street. Vehicles left within the closure will be towed at the owner's expense.

- Chestnut Street between W 17th Street and W 19th Street

Closed from 1 p.m.- 11:30 p.m. daily for Hamilton County graduation ceremonies. Street parking will be prohibited on Chestnut Street. Vehicles left within the closure will be towed at the owner's expense.

- W 19th Street between Reggie White Blvd and Chestnut Street

Closed from 1 p.m.- 11:30 p.m. daily for Hamilton County graduation ceremonies. Street parking will be prohibited on Chestnut Street. Vehicles left within the closure will be towed at the owner's expense.

MAY 17-27

- 5652 Old Hunter Road at Hunter Road

Closed for two weeks to replace drainage pipes and change the road elevation to prevent future flooding. No traffic will be allowed through as there will be an open trench. All traffic should use the south entrance of Old Hunter at Hunter Road, which is a very short detour. Detour signs will be posted.

MAY 18

400 block of Georgia Ave

Closed from around 9:30 a.m.- 4 p.m. for utility work. Detours will be posted.

MAY 18-19

McCallie Tunnels / McCallie Ave / Brainerd Rd

Single lane closures in McCallie Tunnels from 8 p.m. – 6 a.m. for TDOT contractor tunnel work. While work is underway there will be one lane closed in each direction.

Stringers Ridge Tunnel

Closed from 8 p.m. – 6 a.m. for TDOT contractor tunnel work. Detours will be posted.

MAY 18-23

- Riverside Drive/Riverfront Parkway between Aquarium Way and Molly Lane

Closed from 9 a.m. Wednesday until 9 a.m. Monday for the Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga set up and race.

- Chestnut Street between Aquarium Way and Riverfront Parkway

Closed from 9 a.m. Wednesday until 9 a.m. Monday for the Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga set up and race.

- Power Alley from the parking lot to Riverfront Parkway

Closed from 9 a.m. Wednesday until 9 a.m. Monday for the Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga set up and race.

- Southbound Veterans Bridge ramp to Riverside Drive

Closed from 9 a.m. Wednesday until 9 a.m. Monday for the Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga set up and race.

MAY 20-23

- Three inside lanes on I-75 South between mile marker 12.6 and mile marker 6.6

Closed from 9 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday for TDOT crews to repair damaged concrete slabs, perform bridge repairs, and install new pavement markings. Traffic will be shifted to the inside lane and inside shoulder through the project limits.

MAY 22

- Tennessee River between Ross's Landing and the Hubert Fry Center, Rivermont Park and Tennessee Riverpark boat ramps

Closed to pleasure crafts from 5-10:30 a.m. for Ironman 70.3.

- Riverfront Parkway, West 20th Street, Broad Street, Market Street, and Alton Park Boulevard

Traffic will be stopped from crossing the Ironman cyclists' lane when they are present from 8 a.m.- 1 p.m.

- Right eastbound lane of Riverfront Parkway between Molly Lane and Market Street

Closed for Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga. All streets crossing this route will be controlled by Chattanooga police officers.

- Right southbound lane of Market Street between West 20th Street and West 40th Street

Closed for Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga. All streets crossing this route will be controlled by Chattanooga police officers.

- West 40th Street between Alton Park Blvd and Tennessee Avenue

Closed for Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga. All streets crossing this route will be controlled by Chattanooga police officers.

-I-24 on-ramp and Southbound off-ramp at Market Street

Closed for Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga. All streets crossing this route will be controlled by Chattanooga police officers.

- Intersections of St Elmo Avenue and Virginia Avenue at West 45th Street

Will be 4-way stops from 5 a.m.- 1 p.m. for the Ironman 70.3 bike portion. 

- Right eastbound lane of Frazier Avenue between Forest Avenue and the Veterans Bridge

Closed from 5 a.m.-5 p.m. All streets crossing this route will be controlled by Chattanooga police officers to give right-of-way to the Ironman 70.3 runners.

- Right northbound lane of Barton Avenue between Frazier Avenue and Baker Street

Closed from 5 a.m.-5 p.m. All streets crossing this route will be controlled by Chattanooga police officers to give right-of-way to the Ironman 70.3 runners.

- Right northbound lane of the Veterans Bridge between East 3rd Street and Barton Avenue

Closed from 5 a.m.-5 p.m. All streets crossing this route will be controlled by Chattanooga police officers to give right-of-way to the Ironman 70.3 runners.

- Right westbound lane of Amnicola Highway between Old Curtain Pole Road and Lindsay Street

Closed from 5 a.m.-5 p.m. All streets crossing this route will be controlled by Chattanooga police officers to give right-of-way to the Ironman 70.3 runners.

- Riverside Drive between Lindsay Street and Molly Lane

Closed from 5 a.m.-5 p.m. All streets crossing this route will be controlled by Chattanooga police officers to give right-of-way to the Ironman 70.3 runners.

- Battery Place off-ramp from Riverside Drive

Closed from 5 a.m.-5 p.m. All streets crossing this route will be controlled by Chattanooga police officers to give right-of-way to the Ironman 70.3 runners.

- Aquarium Way between Riverside Drive and Walnut Street

Closed from 5 a.m.-5 p.m. All streets crossing this route will be controlled by Chattanooga police officers to give right-of-way to the Ironman 70.3 runners.

 

JUNE 3-6

- Three inside lanes on I-75 South between mile marker 12.6 and mile marker 6.6

JUNE 10-13

- Three inside lanes on I-75 North between mile marker 6.6 and mile marker 12.6

Closed from 9 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday for TDOT crews to repair damaged concrete slabs, perform bridge repairs, and install new pavement markings. Traffic will be diverted on the frontage road used for Exit 7 (Bonny Oaks Drive) and then returned onto I-75 North.

JUNE 17-20

- Two outside lanes on I-75 North between mile marker 6.6 and mile marker 12.6

Closed from 9 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday for TDOT crews to repair damaged concrete slabs, perform bridge repairs, and install new pavement markings. Traffic will be shifted to the inside lane and inside shoulder through the project limits.
